The world seems to be changing faster and faster, making it difficult for us to keep up with the changes. We are also increasingly being asked not just to do more with less but to do better with less. This workshop looks at how we can effectively manage productivity in an ever-changing world. It will answer questions such as:


• How has the measurement of productivity changed over time?
• What are the important issues in monitoring and measuring productivity currently?
• What factors affect productivity now and what factors might impact our productivity in
the near future?
• How do automation and AI impact productivity?
• How can we effectively and positively impact both our personal and group productivity?

Learning Objectives:


Upon completion of this workshop, participants should be able to:


1. Define productivity and factors affecting productivity.
2. Describe various methods for measuring productivity.
3. Identify how automation and AI may impact productivity.
4. Explain how to effectively improve productivity.

About the Speaker: 

Xiaolei Yan, CPA, CIA
Vice President of Corporate Accounting and Controller

Xiaolei has over 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, M&A, internal audit, risk management, and compliance, with leadership roles across the telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare industries. She currently serves as Vice President, Corporate Accounting and Controller at EchoStar Corporation, where she oversees key accounting functions and supports strategic initiatives and complex transactions.

Prior to this role, Xiaolei was Vice President of Finance and Controller at Amerita, where she played a pivotal role in driving significant growth and operational improvements. Earlier in her career at Gates Corporation, she supported global transactions and led compliance and risk management initiatives across operations in more than 30 countries.

Xiaolei holds a Master of Agribusiness with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Science and Technology Beijing. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Colorado and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). She is passionate about developing talent and building high-performing teams, and she is recognized for driving operational and financial excellence.
